It's colorful, fun, and rhythmic. Fans of the artist will find iconic moments and outfits from the artist's storied career, filled with success both on the charts and on tour.

Lionsgate, the studio for which "Michael" was produced, has begun promoting the teaser online, and it will be available in cinemas for the first time before screenings of "Now You See Me 3." Its premiere is Friday, November 14, 2025.

What will we see in the new Michael Jackson biography?

The trailer opens with a scene in the recording studio, where Quincy Jones, played by Kendrick Sampson, shares a few words with Jackson before the recording.

"I know you've been waiting for this for a long time. The soundtracks are ready, the lyrics are ready. We're starting from scratch," says the famous music producer.

Then there is a montage of scenes from Michael Jackson's youth, the "Thriller" music video, and concert fragments, with the 1982 hit "Wanna Be Startin' Something" playing in the background.

Jaafar Jackson stars as Michael Jackson. The film also stars Miles Teller (who played Jackson's attorney, John Branca), Colman Domingo (Michael's father, Joe), Nia Long (mother, Katherine), Jessica Sula (sister, Janet), Larenz Tate (Motown founder, Berry Gordy), Kat Graham (Diana Ross), and Laura Harrier (music producer, Suzanne de Passe).

There was speculation that the film would be split into two parts, but the first trailer indicates that this will not be the case.
